About Us

Some are described as very driven to succeed, but for Steve Snow this meaning is literal. For Steve, driving BMWs and turning stock BMWs into race-ready custom performance cars is what life is all about. But appreciation for BMWs only goes so far; Steve knew owning his own shop would mean risk and long hours. But dedication is what Steve has always stood for, and after purchasing Bimmerworks in 2004 continues to achieve 25% quarterly increases in both customer base and profits.

The rapid success is a direct result of Steve’s original objective: establishing a local shop for BMW enthusiasts looking for an honest, reputable service center offering all the services of a dealership. Above all, Steve believes in open communication. When a car is serviced either he or one of the other BMW-certified technicians will explain all of the work required so customers never feel misguided or unfairly charged. After working at a dealership for more than 10 years, Steve encountered many customers who felt misled and wanted a more personalized approach to working on their cars. Steve knew he would be able to create a shop with this atmosphere, which eventually became Bimmerworks. Steve’s client basis consists of return customers, and he relies on them to spread the word that there is finally an independent service center specializing in BMWs.

Steve’s career started though overall exposure to BMWs. He grew up working at his father’s European automotive shop, and after leaving there started as a detailer at Otto’s BMW in 1995. His characteristic determination led him to excel, and soon after being hired was promoted to technician. Steve is also very active in the Philadelphia Region Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), which sponsors amateur and professional road racing, solo events, and hill-climbs. Most recently, Steve has participated in races at Watkin’s Glen (http://www.theglen.com/), Summit Point (http://www.summitpoint-raceway.com/) and Nelson Ledges (http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks/OH/Nelson.html).

Steve’s desire for personal and professional growth led to an expansion project planned for Bimmerworks which includes opening additional bays and eventually acquiring the surrounding land for additional future projects. Steve is never content to sit back and feel overly comfortable. He is always looking to develop new and efficient ways for running the shop to better serve his customers. Steve lived in Wallingford for many years but currently lives in West Chester with his wife, who is endlessly supportive of Steve and Bimmerworks - since they’ve become one in the same!
